Wegovy is a version of the substance semaglutide(same as in Ozempic), but in higher doses and officially approved for treatment of obesity. It's part of the class GLP-1 agonist, imitating a gut hormone that reduces appetite, slows digestion and regulates glycemic.

- Indicated for people with BMI ≥30or ≥27 with associated conditions (e.g. hypertension, diabetes, apnea).
- Administration:subcutaneous injection, 1 time per week.
