Hypoglycaemiaoccurs when blood glucose levels drop below 70 mg/dL (3.9 mmol/L).
Glucoseis the main source of energy for the body, and its sudden or prolonged decrease can affect the functioning of the nervous system, leading to unpleasant symptoms and, in severe cases, loss of consciousness.
Common causes:
- High doses of insulinor antidiabetic drugs
- Skipping meals or inadequate nutrition
- Intense physical exertion without proper energy intake
- Excessive consumption of alcohol
Common symptoms:
- Tremors, cold sweats
- Dizziness, confusion, irritability
- Rapid heartbeat
- Intense hunger
- In severe cases: loss of consciousness
Intermittent post connection:
At the beginning of the adaptation period, hypoglycemia may occur, especially in people who:

- Previous high consumption of sugar or carbohydrates
