Full Definition:
Inflammationis a biological process of the body's defense against infections, injuries or other harmful factors. In shape acute, it is beneficial — it signals and helps in healing. But in the form chronic, it becomes a silent and persistent process, associated with many modern diseases.
Types of inflammation:
- Acute: short-term, with visible signs — redness, pain, heat, swelling
- Chronicle: long-lasting, without obvious symptoms, but with long-term harmful effects
Possible causes of chronic inflammation:
- Diet rich in sugar, refined oils and ultra-processed foods
- Sedentarism
- Chronic stress
- Deficient sleep
- Hormonal imbalances (ex: insulin resistance)
- Constant exposure to toxins (pollution, smoking, alcohol)
Intermittent post connection:
Studies show that intermittent fasting can reduce inflammatory markers in the blood, such as CRP, IL-6, and TNF-alpha. By triggering the process of autophagyand by reducing oxidative stress, fasting supports a natural anti-inflammatory response.
Conditions associated with chronic inflammation:
- Type 2 diabetes
- Obesity
- Cardiovascular diseases
- Alzheimer
- Cancer
- Autoimmune diseases
